- New York, USA -
On the afternoon of Tuesday, May 16, 2023, 47-years-old ANDREA L. WHITE (pictured), pleaded guilty before Lancaster Town Court Justice Anthony J. Cervi to one count of Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals; Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance (Class “A” misdemeanor under New York State Agriculture and Markets Law).
Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn said in a press release that WHITE “pleaded guilty to the highest sustainable charge.”
According to the press release, on July 18, 2022, WHITE was hired to board a dog at her home on East Home Road in the Town of Lancaster, while the dog’s guardian was out of town until August 1, 2022.
The dog in question is a female mixed breed terrier named Nyxxi.
WIVB identified Nyxxi’s guardian as Keith Linkner.
When Mr. Linkner returned and attempted to pick her up, “the defendant refused to release his dog to him”, stated the release.
On August 5, 2022, Nyxxi’s guardian went back to WHITE’s home and tried again to pick her up but WHITE told him that “his dog escaped from her vehicle during a collision in the Town of Orchard Park.” At that point, Nyxxi’s guardian reported the incident to the Town of Lancaster Police Department police.
Police obtained a search warrant for WHITE’s residence where investigators found a total of nine dogs, including Nyxxi who was injured. The Voiceless Victim “was taken to an emergency veterinarian’s office where she was treated for a fractured and dislocated left forearm, a laceration on her neck and missing teeth”, stated the release.
WHITE was taken into custody.
Erie County District Attorney Flynn said that WHITE remains released on her own recognizance and is due back in court on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. for sentencing.
She faces a maximum of ONLY one year behind bars.

WTH happened to Nyxxi?? ANDREA L. WHITE is a monster! It appears more & more people are abusing animals. The laws must change & the punishment must meet the cruelty. Maybe if these monsters were imprisoned for longer then it might, just might help. At least it would keep these hideous creeps away from all animals. I pray Nyxxi is getting better both physically & mentally.
