ANGELA ANN ADDINGTON and LARRY WAYMAN ADDINGTON facing multiple counts of animal cruelty

- Georgia, USA -

Rome News-Tribune reports that 62-years-old ANGELA ANN ADDINGTON (pictured below) faces one felony count and twenty-seven misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animal charges after Floyd County Sheriff’s deputies found animals suffering in her Shannon home.

In connection with this case, an arrest was already made on October 25. Deputies arrested

64-years-old LARRY WAYMAN ADDINGTON (also pictured below), living at the same home, and charged him with two counts of felony aggravated cruelty to animals and twenty-seven misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty.

According to Floyd County Jail reports, deputies found in the woman’s home twenty-six (26) Dachshund and Chihuahua mixed dogs living in extreme filth, a small pig who was extremely thin, and a German shepherd who was severely underweight. The furbaby also had whipworms, heartworms and cuts on the nose and ears.

The scenario inside the property was horrific. The home was infested with fleas and had feces and urine inside.

Deputies determined that the medical issues the animals were suffering from would have been easily preventable with proper feeding and appropriate veterinary care.

To allow animals to ‘live’ in filth is unconscionable. Neglect is also abuse. These precious souls were reliant upon those two soulless humans. They starved whilst the humans never missed a meal. Punishment is the only answer for cruelty to animals. Get better all of you beautiful souls.
