The Moberly Police Department arrested 29-years-old BRIANNA LYNN LINGO (pictured) after she stole her mother’s dog, killed him/her and set him/her on fire.
The crime took place on Thursday, June 9.
LINGO’s mother called 911 after she came back home from work and her daughter told her she had killed her dog as part of a “ritual sacrifice.”

LINGO told detectives she had strangled the dog before burning the body.
LINGO was arrested and booked into the Randolph County Jail on a $5,000 cash bond.
The Randolph County Prosecutor's Office charged the MURDERER with Felony counts of stealing an animal and animal abuse.
LINGO has a bond review hearing scheduled for the afternoon of Thursday, June 21, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. before Judge James M. Cooksey.
