On Thursday, September 23, a Midfield police officer, 46-years-old CAMEROUN KAREEM TREMBLE (pictured below), turned himself into the Jefferson County Jail to face two misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty.
Online records show TREMBLE was booked in at 2:15 p.m. and released at 2:55 p.m. after posting a paltry $3,000 bond.
According to several sources, neighbors called the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office to report the condition of TREMBLE’s horses and the sheriff’s Animal Cruelty Officer launched an investigation which revealed that two horses appeared extremely malnourished.
No further details were released about the case so, it’s unknown whether the horses are still alive and are receiving medical care or whether they were euthanized.
Midfield Police Chief Jesse Bell said TREMBLE was placed on leave following his arrest.

CAMEROUN KAREEM TREMBLE, a police officer (yes, let that sink in for a minute) was arrested then released on a $3000 bond. Since this selfish human had the $ to bail himself out why then should he be let off for not using that $ to buy some hay & feed for two horses who were entirely dependent on him? Being a member of law enforcement, the ignorance excuse should not be entertained. I pray these horses are well. Please update.
