On March 18, Dallas Police arrested 35-year-old CESAR ENRIQUE VILLELA HERNANDEZ (pictured below), for a felony cruelty to non-livestock/torture.

The arrest is the result of the investigation of the shooting of a dog.

The shooting took place on March 3, at a business on 2107 McDaniel Drive near North Walton Walker Boulevard and Loop 12.

The brief surveillance video released by Dallas Police shows HERNANDEZ entering the business, walking toward the dog, and shooting at the furbaby four times.

The dog jumps and runs away and HERNANDEZ walks away.

Police said the furbaby, a large black Lab-type dog whose guardian is the owner of the business, sustained injuries but survived the shooting.

VILLELA HERNANDEZ was booked into the Dallas County jail.
