On Monday, August 22, 2022, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office received multiple reports about animal abuse at a home on Angel Place Lane in Corryton.
According to the incident report obtained by Voice For Us, upon arrival, responding deputies saw in the garage of the property, 31-years-old CHAD NICHOLAS ALLEN (pictured), standing over a small white dog as the furbaby appeared to be growling at ALLEN in defense.
Officers reported that they saw ALLEN “kick the dog one time then go over to the workbench inside the garage and grab an impact drill.”
As stated in the report, ALLEN “held the drill in his hand and acted like he was going to use it against the dog.” Deputies said the dog appeared fearful that he/she was going to be injured.
After running a record check deputies learned that ALLEN had two outstanding warrants for theft.
ALLEN was placed under arrest for cruelty to animals and sent to the Rodger D. Wilson Detention Facility.
An alarming part of the reports stated that: “Officers observed dried blood on the back of the [dog’s] leg and a superficial laceration on his right back leg along with a red rash under its mouth on its muzzle. Lastly, officers discovered a knot on top of the [dog’s] head. The dog appeared to be okay and did not need immediate medical attention.”
As I was reading the report, I was expecting to read that animal control was called in and took custody of the VOICELESS VICTIM. But instead, the unbelievable reality is that: “The dog remained on the scene with a responsible party.”
This “party” was not responsible enough to keep an eye on the furbaby and look what happened! Who’s to say that this “responsible party” will lose sight of the dog again and something worse may happen!?
As if this is not outrageous enough, online records show that ALLEN is out of custody!
I wonder, if the dog had been a human child, would Child Protective Services have left the child in that abusive and dangerous environment?
I have emailed the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and inquired about the dog’s breed, gender, age, and name but I was told that this information was not available.

Excellent questions proposed by the author of Voice for Us! Why wasn’t this precious wee soul removed from this horrid household especially since this cretin Chad Nicholas Allen is now out on bond?! There have many reports of animal abuse never just stops because the abuser is caught! This wee baby deserves protection.
