~ Original story:
On July 19, the Calvert County Grand Jury returned indictments charging 44-years-old CHARLES HENRY HALL and 52-years-old RODNET CARLTON RANCE (both pictured below), with felony animal cruelty charges for running dogfighting rings, announced Calvert County State’s Attorney Robert Harvey.
HALL, of Chaptico, faces seven counts of aggravated animal cruelty based on allegations that he engaged in a dogfight and transported dogs for fighting.
RANCE, of Lusby, faces forty counts of aggravated animal cruelty based on allegations that he engaged in dogfighting, maintained premises for dogfighting, and possessed equipment and dogs for use in fights.
These charges are the result of a collaborative effort between the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, St. Mary’s County Animal Control, Humane Rescue Alliance, and the Calvert County Animal Cruelty Task Force, comprised of members of the Sheriff’s Office, Animal Control, and the State’s Attorney’s Office.
The cases are being prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney Christopher J. Monte and trial dates have been slated for January 10, 2022, in the Calvert County Circuit Court.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information related to this case is urged to contact Det. Sarah Jernigan of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office at (410) - 535 - 2800. Thank you!
I loathe those who use innocent animals for fights.
Those who participate in these despicable activities, both organizers and spectators, are heartless and soulless individuals who make bloody and dishonest money at the expense of precious lives!!!

Appears by his mugshot, Rance isn’t the least bit bothered by his arrest! Hopefully his less than lethal prison sentence will discomfort his sadistic lifestyle, especially when it’s discovered he’s a dog murderer. There’s a very hot & dank place in Hell for these two losers! They become the prey down there! PLEASE GET BETTER PRECIOUS SOULS
I think we should let these 2 barbaric idiots fight t out in a death match. Hopefully they kill each other and do the rest of society a favor.
