DAVID EDWARD FRITSCH JR. arrested for starving his two dogs to death

- Florida, USA -

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has posted a video on its Facebook page in which Sheriff Wayne Ivey has announced the arrest of a “freaking animal abuser”, as he put it.

The video shows Sheriff Ivey personally walking into the county jail 33-year-old DAVID EDWARD FRITSCH JR. (pictured below).

According to the Sheriff’s Office, FRITSCH JR. left his two dogs locked in the master bedroom of a home in the Canaveral Groves area, with no food for several weeks.

Sheriff Ivey explained that investigators were alerted to the situation in mid-January when someone called the Brevard County Animal Services and reported two dogs being abandoned in a home.

Officers found the furbabies lifeless.

Sheriff Ivey said the results from a necropsy showed the dogs had chips of wood from furniture, plastic bottles, band aids and even a plastic bag in their stomachs.

He said: “These poor animals were literally eating furniture and their own feces trying desperately to stay alive. And the guy did nothing to give them food, to give them water, to help them in any capacity.”

A video published by Click Orlando, shows reporter James Sparvero interviewing a neighbor of FRITSCH JR. The neighbor said he reported FRITSCH JR. multiple times.

FRITSCH JR. was arrested on Wednesday, February 24, on two counts of animal cruelty.

In the video, Sheriff Ivey can be heard telling FRITSCH JR. as he walks him into the jail: “I guess you didn’t get the memo about don’t hurt animals”, to which FRITSCH JR. responded: “You don’t have all the facts. You don’t understand the situation.”

Sheriff Ivey said: “If you harm an animal in Brevard County, I’m personally going to walk you into our jail and slam the door in your face.”

Isn’t it a shame though that there is always a judge who will reopen that door and let the abuser out????
