An investigation that started in 2018 led to the arrest of 27-year-old JACOB PELTZ (pictured below).
The Michigan Humane Society say that in 2018 PELTZ anonymously posted an ad on Craigslist seeking to have sex with dogs.
Ms. Elise Ramsey, who is the Michigan Humane Society Investigator, responded to the ad.
She said she’ll go anywhere to stop animal cruelty.
Ms. Ramsey then went undercover and started exchanging text messages with PELTZ.
What she learned during her investigation was chilling.
Ms. Ramsey discovered among other things that PELTZ had a part-time job where he worked with animals.
She said: “Truly, we were on this case from the complaint -- from then until now, over two years that we were working on this investigation. It was really hard. You had to understand the big picture. This is why I continue to text with this person. The big picture is going to be much better.”
On July 17, 2020, JACOB PELTZ, of Garden City, has been charged with animal cruelty for an injured rabbit found during the investigation, a 10-year felony for using a computer to commit a crime, and a 5-year felony for crimes against nature.
