JENNIFER KRISTI VAUGHN and CHARLES A. RODGERS arrested - 38 dogs found malnourished at their home

- Kentucky, USA -

Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden said in a news release that deputies were alerted to numerous dogs who appeared to be neglected at a home on 6492 KY 1124 near Farmington.

On the early afternoon of Friday, October 21, 2022, Deputy Jackson responded to the property and found many dogs who appeared to be malnourished with no food or water.

According to the release, “Many of the dogs needed emergency medical treatment for their condition and some were chained up and appeared to have not been fed for some time.”

Sheriff Hayden said that the residence’s condition was not safe or healthy for the dogs.

The sheriff’s office identified 59-years-old CHARLES A. RODGERS and 44-years-old JENNIFER KRISTI VAUGHN (both pictured), as being the dogs’ guardians.

The pair told deputies that they had approximately thirty-eight (38) dogs and that none of them were up to date on vaccinations.

Animal control was called in and removed the dogs.

VAUGHN and RODGERS were arrested and charged with thirty-eight counts of cruelty to animals 2nd Degree.

Dogs are not items, junk, aluminum cans, etc! Collecting dogs & not providing adequate shelter as well as the basics food & water is not humane. Plus these souls need LOVE too! It appears that these two humans didn’t take very good care of themselves either. Please ensure these babies get safe & healthy & these two will never be able to ‘collect’ any animals ever again.
