- Florida, USA -
On Sunday, August 16, a woman was accidentally bitten by her boyfriend’s 10-year-old Pitbull mix on her ankle.
The incident happened in her boyfriend’s home on 12573 Tree Street in Pinellas Park.
Police report states he was sleeping when the incident happened.
When she went into the home to clean up the wound, she told her boyfriend about it.
Police report states that the boyfriend, 38-year-old JOSEPH WAYNE WALKER (pictured below), then went outside and brought the furbaby to the home’s front yard where he choked him to death.
When WALKER was questioned by the police, he admitted to killing the dog and stated that it took a couple of minutes for the dog to die.
Officers observed scratch marks on his stomach from the poor soul trying to get out of the chokehold.
The affidavit states that WALKER “DID INTENTIONALLY COMMIT AN ACT TO AN ANIMAL WICH RESULTED IN CRUEL DEATH, OR DID EXCESSIVELY OR REPEATEDLY INFLICT UNNECESSARY PAIN OR SUFFERING; OR CAUSE THE SAME TO BE DONE, OR DID KNOWNGLY AND INTENTIONALLY TORTURE OR TORMENT AN ANIMAL IN A MANNER CAUSING THE ANIMAL TO BE INJURED, MUTILATED OR KILLED.”
This murderer was booked at the Pinellas County Jail on one felony cruelty to animals charge.
He was later released on a $10,000 bail.
If WALKER had choked a person to death, I wonder, would he have still walked?
Tampa Bay Times reports that an assistant public defender was appointed to represent WALKER and has entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.
A judge ordered the murderer to have no pets.
According to “the smoking gun”, Walker is a felon whose rap sheet includes convictions for domestic battery; marijuana possession; drunk driving; obstructing police; felony battery; criminal mischief; and violating a restraining order.”
