UPDATE on 24-year-old TERESA LYNN FETTERMAN (pictured below).

On Wednesday, January 20, 2021, FETTERMAN appeared before Westmoreland County Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Mears and pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of animal neglect.

According to police, FETTERMAN did not seek medical care for her 8-month-old female Boxer/Mastiff mix after she was severely hurt by FETTERMAN’s live-in boyfriend 31-year-old KEITH DALE LILLY JR. (pictured below).

Trib Live reports that FETTERMAN said: “I did not get the dog to the vet to care for my dog. I take full responsibility.”

One of the furbaby’s legs had to be amputated.

The sweet soul has since been adopted.

FETTERMAN was sentenced to serve up to a year in prison but was immediately paroled.

Mears ordered that FETTERMAN not own or care for any animals during the duration of her parole.

As reported by Trib Live, FETTERMAN “will also remain in jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond pending the outcome of the involuntary manslaughter case, which is tentatively scheduled for trial in February.”

TO THOSE WHO BELITTLE ANIMAL CRUELTY CASES BECAUSE THE VICTIM “IS JUST AN ANIMAL”, MAY THIS STORY BE A LESSON TO YOU THAT THERE IS A LINK BETWEEN ANIMAL ABUSE AND ABUSE TOWARDS HUMANS!

AS LONG AS WE (ESPECIALLY JUDGES), CONTINUE TO IGNORE THAT, WE WILL CONTINUE TO LET THIS HAPPEN!!!

ABUSE IS ABUSE! VIOLENCE IS VIOLENCE! A VICTIM IS A VICTIM!

IN THIS STORY, BOTH VICTIMS WERE UNABLE TO CALL 911 AND THEREFORE DEFENSELESS, HELPLESS, AND VOICELESS!!!

Trib Live reports that on Wednesday, September 23, New Kensington police charged 31-year-old KEITH DALE LILLY JR. (pictured below), with cruelty to animals and neglect of animals.

His girlfriend, 24-year-old TERESA LYNN FETTERMAN (pictured below), was charged with neglect of animals.

Many of you may be aware that the duo were recently involved in a case involving the death of an innocent 2-year-old boy, Mikel Fetterman, the woman’s son, who died on April 24, 2020.

According to Trib Live, court documents show that LILLY JR. beat a dog so badly that one of the furbaby’s legs had to be amputated.

While police were investigating the abuse inflicted on Mikel at the pair’s residence in Valley Royal Court, they became aware of the abuse inflicted on another defenseless being, an 8-month-old female Boxer/mastiff mix.

Police said that one of the neighbors heard LILLY JR. saying: “I’m not afraid to kill it”, referring to the puppy.

This same neighbor, in April handed to police two videos that were filmed in February in which a whipping noise is heard and the dog yelping.

In April, FETTERMAN followed the police’s suggestion to surrender the dog and the puppy was placed in the care of Animal Protectors.

Trib Live reports that “the dog walked with a limp and had a hole in a back leg.”

According to Trib Live, “A veterinarian inspected the dog and noted its injuries and wounds, which included a lesion on its left hip, a lame and swollen left front leg, sagging or outward turned eyelids, and a broken tooth. The lameness and swollen elbow was believed to be from an untreated fracture, and an x-ray found a dislocated elbow.”

FETTERMAN and LILLY JR. are both being held in the Westmoreland County Prison.

The pair have a date with District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr. on October 15, for preliminary hearings on the animal abuse charges.

As for the death of the innocent child, Mikel, Trib Live reports that “Westmoreland County prosecutors announced Wednesday that they will seek the death penalty against Lilly.”

In court documents filed Wednesday, Assistant District Attorney Judy Petrush cited three aggravated circumstances that, if proved, warrant a sentence of death by lethal injection for KEITH DALE LILLY JR.
