KRISTIAN JAMES ZILIOX cited for animal cruelty

- Colorado, USA -

On the afternoon of Thursday, August 26, deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a property in the 9000 block of West Chatfield Avenue after receiving a report from neighbors about dog yelps and human screams coming from the residence.

Inside the home officers found an injured dog who was removed by animal control officers and then taken to Foothills Animal Shelter.

Joan Thielen, a spokesperson with the shelter, told CBS4 that the furbaby suffered a severely damaged tooth which was later removed during emergency surgery.

The dog also had bruising around his/her chest and shoulders.

The good news is that the furbaby is now stabilized and recovering.

Ms. Thielen added that Foothills Animal Shelter would keep the community updated about the dog’s recovery.

The specifics of the incidents are not known at this time but 26-years-old KRISTIAN JAMES ZILIOX (pictured below), was written a summons for animal cruelty.

Michael Taplin, spokesman for Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office told CBS4 that ZILIOX was also arrested on outstanding warrants from Ohio and Michigan.

Online records show that ZILIOX is scheduled to be in court on Monday, August 30, at 10:00 a.m.

If you wish, and can afford to donate toward the furbaby’s medical care, please visit Foothills Animal Shelter's website. Thank you!

I have contacted Michael Taplin and requested additional information about the dog.

If I get a response, I will post an update.
