- Florida, USA -
There are people in the world who risk their lives on a daily basis to save other people’s lives. There are people who dedicate their spare time to volunteer for noble causes.
There are people who fight everyday to make the world a better place.
Then, there are feces who choose to go after defenseless beings unable to call for help and to report their abuse!
Three Broward County SUBHUMANS are responsible for the death of an innocent kitten.
The feces who are now facing criminal charges are 38-year-old LAWRENCE CALVIN IVEY, 25-year-old JAMARLIN KENYATTA HUNTLEY, and his girlfriend 25-year-old WALKENSSIA JOAZILE (all pictured below).
Hollywood Police released a video from a surveillance camera which shows the trio walking around the courtyard of a neighborhood on 1950 Taft Street, just after midnight on June 19.
One of the three can be seen carrying a gun.
IVEY is identified by police as the one who shot the 8-week-old furbaby with a pellet air rifle.
After shooting the kitten, the three human feces cowardly ran back into IVEY’s apartment.
A few minutes later, a witness saw the kitten dragging her small back leg down the sidewalk.
JOAZILE then came out of the apartment and walked toward the injured kitten and in the video, she appears to be scolding the victim, police said possibly kicking her.
The video goes on to show HUNTLEY sweeping the kitten down the street.
A police report stated that a car passed and JOAZILE “runs into the parking lot to see if the vehicle ran over the kitten.”
The report states as well that HUNTLEY also walks into the street as the vehicle backs up and, it appears, two subjects get out of the vehicle to observe what was in the street.
“It appears that Huntley and Joazile purposely left the kitten in the middle of the street to be run over by a vehicle, but were unsuccessful.”
Miami Herald reports that the day after the incident, the maintenance worker who tends to the apartment building at 1950 Taft Street where IVEY and JOAZILE live, told the property manager that a kitten had been shot.
The property manager contacted Hollywood police who launched an investigation.
City animal control officer Cindy Bates took the kitten to VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital where Dr. Omar Khalaf told investigators that radiographs showed “numerous metallic fragments causing multiple spinal fractures.”
Sadly, ”Due to the severe injuries, Dr. Khalaf deemed it necessary to humanely euthanize the victim.”
IVEY and HUNTLEY face aggravated animal cruelty charges.
JOAZILE and HUNTLEY face charges of tampering with evidence.
As reported by Miami Herald, HUNTLEY and JOAZILE were released after posting bail of $3,500 and $1,000, respectively.
As for IVEY, online records show he has been in Broward County Jail since July 14, when he was booked on two counts of selling cocaine within 300 yards of a school, daycare or park.
The animal cruelty charges have now added $15,000 to the $50,000 bond he had not posted yet.
I cannot express strongly enough what I feel for these worthless individuals, but I will tell you this, Voice For Us firmly believes that in a decent country, animal abusers would be sentenced to the death penalty!!!
