63-year-old LYNNE HACKNEY and her husband 62-year-old MILES ALLEN (both pictured below), after being convicted in 2014, have been arrested again for the cruelty of dozens of dogs in an apparent effort to breed and sell them.

The couple were arrested in July 2020.

It all started thanks to tips from Michelle Veron, an independent animal cruelty investigator working with Animal Advocates of Pearl River County.

The evidence gathered by Michelle, showed the couple were once again breeding and selling dogs.

Michelle had already worked in the 2014 case and that resulted in the conviction of the pair.

Despite their conviction, Michelle continued to keep an eye on these two and collected Facebook posts, emails, fake papers given to those who bought dogs from them, and so on.

In July 2020, Michelle turned over evidence to a probation officer and based on the facts presented, on July 15, a home inspection was carried out.

Authorities were dispatched to a home on 25055 Loblolly Drive in Perkinston to arrest HACKNEY for probation violation.

inside the residence, deputies and investigators could hear dogs barking from behind closed doors.

Hancock County Sheriff’s Department Investigator Cole White said that while HACKNEY was being arrested, she said that no one would be at the home to take care of the dogs.

At that point, all the 35 dogs were seized from the property and were taken to animal shelters.

While the furbabies were being removed, investigators found two weapons in the home, leading HACKNEY to be additionally arrested for possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

HACKNEY was then booked into the Lamar County jail for those charges.

Two days later, Investigator White began working on warrants for HACKNEY and her husband for 35 counts of simple animal cruelty.

The warrants were served on July 20, and the couple have since bonded out.

Inspector White said the dogs were being kept in a home covered in feces, including the bed where the pair slept.

As a result of the squalid conditions the furbabies lived in, some of them developed skin conditions, and one of them had a drainage tube installed in the cheek.

There was not enough food or water for these poor babies.

One dog was kept outside and reportedly showed signs of aggression.

Sadly, the pup with the drainage tube and another one, passed away while being transported to the Hancock County Animal Shelter.

A few weeks ago, on August 13, ALLEN had the nerve to petition to get nine of the dogs back.

Thankfully, the Hancock County Justice Court denied his petition.

Inspector White said the couple can appeal the court’s decision and they have 30 days to do so.

We just have to hope that the appeal will also be denied.

These monsters CANNOT and MUST NOT take these dogs back!

The poor dogs deserve to be with loving people in clean homes!!!

As for the other dogs, they have either been adopted or placed in foster homes.

Two of them were even adopted together, a Beagle and a Border Collie.

The rest of the dogs in the case were either Australian Cattle Dogs or Pomeranians and Hancock County Sheriff Ricky Adam said many of the dogs have been adopted to good homes.

Two of the dogs seized were pregnant and have since given birth, while two or three more are expected to deliver very soon.

The two moms and their babies are the ones that the couple want back!

Investigator White said that after being convicted in 2014, HACKNEY and ALLEN have been using aliases to continue to sell and buy dogs.

The main alias used by LYNNE HACKNEY appears to be “BRENDA FISHER”, while ALLEN went as “DANNY FISHER” or “MIKE BOUDREAUX”.

Picayune Item reports that “the couple also used the aliases when taking some of the dogs to a Picayune based veterinary clinic.”

Picayune Item also reports: “According to previous coverage, both suspects’ prior convictions were part of a 2014 case where they were found housing more than 50 dogs at a home on East Canal Street in Picayune, also in dire conditions either in the home or in an outlying shed without air conditioning. The couple would later plead guilty to one count each of animal cruelty, and several other animal cruelty related offenses. Hackney was also indicted in 2016 for a false pretense charge out of Lamar County after she falsified a hearing test for an Australian Cattle Dog puppy in 2014. During the 2014 case, it was determined that the suspects were selling Australian Cattle Dog puppies via websites called Blue Moon Cattle Dogs, and Bleu Moon Cattle Dogs.”
