On January 1, 2025, investigators with the Bexar County Sheriff's Office arrested 17-year-old MICHAEL CHRISTOPER GEORGE (pictured).
GEORGE is accused of dragging a dog behind a motorcycle and then shooting him/her.
The arrest comes after a video surfaced showing GEORGE dragging a helpless dog behind a motorcycle while on a leash. The sheriff’s office said GEORGE was driving on a gravel road and due to the speed he was driving at, the poor dog could not keep up.
Some witnesses recorded the despicable incident and provided the video to the authorities.
According to the sheriff’s office, in the video after the dog had been dragged, multiple gunshots could be heard.
Investigators questioned GEORGE about the incident and he gave different versions of the facts. He first said that he had to shoot the dog because he/she had bitten a sibling.
GEORGE then tried to “cover up his actions by saying he had buried the dog in the woods”, said the sheriff’s office.
As the investigation progressed, investigators found the deceased dog with many gunshots and shell casings nearby.
GEORGE continued to change his statements until he eventually “admitted to shooting the dog, stating he believed it was aggressive.”
GEORGE was arrested and charged with 3rd degree felony animal cruelty. He was released from the Bexar County Jail after posting bond.

I used to be proud to say I’m a born & raised Texan…lately, not so much. The cruel humans disgust me, the laws do not help protect the animals before they are tortured, starved, neglected. The politicians do not even address the rampant animal cruelty that occurs daily in my state. This POS punk better be held responsible, there is video of this horrific incident & this innocent soul’s life was brutally ended! Texas, start giving a s**t about all these precious souls.
