Sheriff Mike Fridley with the Fayette County Sheriff's Department announced the arrest of 47-year-old NICOLLE LYNETTE KNOTTS and 50-year-old CHRISTOPHER LYNN KNOTTS (both pictured below).
According to the Department’s Facebook post, on Tuesday, November 10, deputies were dispatched to a home on Armstrong Creek Road regarding a health and welfare check.
Deputies found “25 cats living in the home, with virtually every surface covered in feces and urine. The conditions were found to be completely deplorable.”
The couple were arrested on 25 counts of animal cruelty each and both are being held at Southern Regional Jail on a $7,500 cash bond.
Sheriff Fridley has not disclosed additional details about the case and it’s unknown where the cats are.
