Following a week-long investigation, on the morning of Friday, June 10, officers with the Spartanburg County Environmental Enforcement Department responded to a property on 11341 Highway 221 in Woodruff.
Officers served a written warrant to 56-years-old PAUL GREGORY KICA (pictured), and removed more than thirty horses, multiple cats, and a dog.
WIS 10 News reports that on Monday, June 6, a veterinarian was sent to the property and based on the findings and recommendations, “it was time to take the horses off the property.”
KICA was charged with 10 counts of ill-treatment of animals and booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
Online arrest records show he is still in custody.
No additional information has been released at this time.
I have emailed the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office to inquire about the well-being of the VOICELESS VICTIMS.
I will post an update should I receive a response.
