RAY PARKER facing animal abuse accusations after his arrest for a domestic violence incident

Updated: Feb 9, 2021

- Louisiana, USA -

LSU Police have arrested 21-year-old RAY PARKER (pictured below) on accusations of aggravated animal cruelty charges.

According to police, the warrant for PARKER’s arrest was issued in September 2020, after he had been arrested in connection to a domestic violence incident with his girlfriend.

A police report obtained by Ms. Lea Skene of The Advocate, states that authorities found evidence of animal abuse while they were investigating the domestic abuse case.

PARKER was then arrested and booked on charges of battery of a dating partner and criminal damage to property.

WBRZ reports that “Hours after the arrest, LSU head football Coach Ed Orgeron announced that Parker was cut from the team for violating its rules.”

A police report states that PARKER’s girlfriend accused him of beating up their black and white Pitbull puppy named Kash.

As reported by WBRZ, the girlfriend accused PARKER of breaking one of Kash’s ribs and legs.

The Advocate reports that PARKER had sent his girlfriend a text message to let her know that he was about to punish Kash for urinating on the floor.

Reportedly, PARKER then threatened to further harm the furbaby and wrote he might end up “dead or injured.”

Then, PARKER told the girlfriend to come get “this … broke leg dog.”

According to WBRZ, the woman told investigators that she did not have the funds required to cover Kash’s medical bills, so she turned the puppy over to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.

When police followed this up with LSU SVM, they learned that one of Kash’s legs had to be amputated as a result of multiple breaks and fractures.

The police report also states that a roommate confirmed animal abuse accusations against PARKER saying they'd seen PARKER kick Kash on multiple occasions.

The roommate said they would often hear the puppy crying and would tell PARKER to “chill out”, reports WBRZ.

The Advocate reports that law enforcement located PARKER in his hometown of Ruston and booked him into jail there.

PARKER is being transported to Baton Rouge for booking on the felony charge.
