RICHEL YUMAR-GONZALEZ, former dog groomer, caught on a doorbell camera violently kicking a small dog

- Florida, USA -

If it wasn’t for doorbell cameras, security cameras, and witnesses, how many savages like 33-year-old RICHEL YUMAR-GONZALEZ (pictured) would get away with animal cruelty?

Miami-Dade Animal Services said in a Facebook post that on August 19, 2024, its investigators contacted Intracoastal District detectives to report an animal cruelty incident captured on a residential doorbell camera.

The incident took place in the hallway of a building at the Jade Winds apartment complex on 1700 Northeast 191st Street in Hialeah.

The video showed YUMAR-GONZALEZ wearing a t-shirt advertising Deluxe Mobile Grooming Company based in Hialeah.

In the beginning of the video, a small white Maltese-Shih Tzu mix named Coco, can be seen running down the hallway and YUMAR-GONZALEZ kicks the furbaby so hard that the kick can actually be heard! YUMAR-GONZALEZ goes after Coco who turns around and the savage ruthlessly kicks Coco again whose loud yelp really leaves a knot in your stomach!

YUMAR-GONZALEZ then walks out of the view of the camera with Coco following him.

Animal Services investigators located the owner of the grooming company whom news outlets identified as Yosuany Rodriguez. Mr. Rodriguez advised that after learning about the incident, he immediately terminated YUMAR-GONZALEZ.

According to CBS News, Mr. Rodriguez said he found out about the incident on the morning of Saturday, August 10, 2024, five days after the attack on the dog, when he saw two negative reviews online. Mr. Rodriguez said that he also received pictures taken from the surveillance video that went viral and recognized YUMAR-GONZALEZ.

Mr. Rodriguez then asked his employee whether he had kicked the dog and YUMAR-GONZALEZ said he did.

The Miami-Dade Police Department arrested YUMAR-GONZALEZ on one count of animal cruelty. Police said YUMAR-GONZALEZ admitted to kicking Coco and claimed he was bathing Coco and the pup bit his finger.

On August 22, 2024, the savage was released from the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in West Miami-Dade after posting a meager $500 bond.

Like a true coward, YUMAR-GONZALEZ ran away from the reporters who were waiting to ask him questions.

Individuals like YUMAR-GONZALEZ only go after those who cannot fight back and cannot defend themselves!

Coco was examined by a veterinarian and is thankfully expected to be ok.

The editor of VFU called it, this cowardly savage, a so-called groomer, is a danger to all dogs & cats. Do these companies ever vet their employees? Thank goodness the people spoke up & for the video doorbell. That poor wee baby dutifully followed this putz back after being kicked so hard it was audible. I am relieved he was fired & now I pray he is punished severely. Another relief is Coco was checked by a veterinarian & said to be okay. I hope Coco’s mental healing is also going well. Bless you Coco. Damn you POS coward, YUMAR-GONZALEZ!
