The Walton County Sheriff’s Office investigated a tip which led to the discovery of two dogs in dreadful conditions.
Investigators found one dog laying on the concrete floor of the pen in blood and feces, and was barely breathing.
Sadly, the furbaby passed away while he was being attended to.
The second dog was extremely malnourished and was unable to stand.
She is now in the care of the Walton County Animal Shelter (WCAS).
Staff named her Hope.
This is what they said about her: “She looked like a little skeleton with skin draped over it.” “Her feet had sores and blisters, likely from standing in her own feces and urine. As a dog that should weigh 45-50 pounds, she came in at 29 pounds.”
30-year-old SAMANTHA BISHOP was identified as the ‘owner’ of the poor dogs.
BISHOP was arrested and charged with two felony counts of animal cruelty.
