SARA IRENE TREUSDELL facing charges for not providing her dogs with adequate food or care

- New York, USA -

Please note that according to the arrest report obtained by Voice For Us, the arrestee’s name is SARA I. TREUSDELL.

However, the press release by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and online sources refer to her as SARA TRUESDELL.

Through a press release, Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard announced that on April 25, 2023, deputies arrested 38-years-old SARA IRENE TREUSDELL of Church Street, Woodhull.

According to the release, the arrest follows an investigation into reports of “dogs running at large and in need of sustenance and care”.

Sheriff Jim Allard tells me that the investigation was launched after the Dog Control Officer for the Town of Woodhull received a complaint from a local resident regarding two dogs who were running loose. At the time, Dog Control Officer took the dogs into custody and filed a complaint with Law Enforcement due to the physical condition of one of the Voiceless Victims.

Sheriff Jim Allard further told me that “Both dogs were named by vet hospital staff as their given names were unknown.”

One of the two furbabies is a brown/tan male Pitbull mix who was named Clyde, and the other furbaby is a black female Rottweiler mix who was named Bonnie.

Clyde was in poor physical condition.

I was relieved and overjoyed to learn that both Bonnie and Clyde “have been under the care of a licensed veterinarian since the beginning of the investigation. They are both doing very well and have made full recoveries.”

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office alleges that TREUSDELL was not providing her dogs with adequate food or care.

TREUSDELL is charged with Torturing/Not Feeding a Domestic Animal.

She was released on an Appearance Ticket to return to Woodhull Town Court at a later date.

I want to echo Sheriff Allard’s appeal: “Remember, reporting animal cruelty is everyone’s business. If you know of a domestic animal that is being maltreated and in need of aid, please report it to your local law enforcement or by calling 911.”

This is an open investigation and no additional information could be disclosed at this time.

If every person who witnessed animal abuse, neglect etc then these poor souls would not suffer endlessly. They depend on us, like the author stated, “PAWS CAN’T DIAL” but humans sure as hell can! It’s our duty!
