- Florida, USA -

On Wednesday, September 23, a deputy with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office visited the home of 31-year-old SARAH LEE JUSTIN (pictured below), in Floral City.

Chronicle reports that when the deputy arrived, JUSTIN told him she had a dog in her living room and before the deputy could come in, she had to move the dog to another room.

The deputy said the dog did not have to be moved and entered the home.

The deputy saw a dog who was covered in sores, “very malnourished”, and whose ribs were showing.

In a report, the deputy stated that the dog was so weak that in order to stand, the furbaby had to prop his/her head against the living room couch.

The deputy also reported the dog being dehydrated, having sores on the joints, and the breathing being extremely shallow.

The poor soul did not have any access to food or water, and he could find any dog food in the property.

At first, JUSTIN told the deputy that she had taken the dog to the vet on that very day, however, she later claimed that she was about to take the dog to the vet before the deputy arrived.

Then, this human trash changed her story one more time.

JUSTIN said the dog was not hers.

She told the deputy the dog had arrived just before the deputy.

Chronicle reports that when JUSTIN put down a bowl of water, the dog was too weak to drink, and the head fell in the bowl.

The deputy then called in animal control and an officer took the furbaby to a local veterinarian.

The veterinarian said the sores form when animals are confined in closed environments, such as a cage.

SARAH LEE JUSTIN was arrested on felony charges and her bond set at $2,000.

I have emailed Sheriff Mike Prendergast to inquire about the dog, but I have not heard back yet.
