Days after a defenseless wombat was stoned to death, a new video surfaces showing a defenseless rabbit being smothered in alcohol and thrown around by many individuals.
The helpless animal was shaken, kicked, grabbed by the neck and then tossed away while his abusers were standing there laughing.
The sickening video was posted online Saturday, October 5, and was shot in Waroona, south of Perth.
9NEWS reports that Josiah Peck helped film the cruel act and that he would like to apologize for standing there and filming.
Peck claims that the poor rabbit was already dead and told 9NEWS he was drunk and made a "stupid mistake".
The understandable outrage followed after the video was posted and many of those involved in the cruel act deleted their social media accounts.
Under the Western Australian Animal Welfare Act 2002, being found guilty of animal cruelty carries a maximum penalty of a $27,500 fine or a $5,500 fine with a six-month jail term.
