Suffolk County SPCA announced that its chief, Roy Gross, charged 44-years-old STEPHEN CLEMENTE with animal cruelty and abandonment.
In a press release, the agency said that CLEMENTE, of Lake Ronkonkoma , was charged on September 26, 2023, following an investigation into an abandoned dog.
According to the release, on the morning of Friday, September 8, 2023, CLEMENTE abandoned his dog, a 2-year-old female Pitbull terrier named Shadow, outside the Brookhaven Town Animal Shelter while it was closed.
Shadow was found severely emaciated with ribs and bones showing.
CLEMENTE is set to appear in First District Court, Central Islip on October 16, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Susan A. Berland.

I agree with Judy on the punishment!! If people knew that they would have the same fate as what the hand out to their so called pets I think they might think first and he could have given her to someone who would take care of her. Same punishment should be handed down to him.
So this schmuck STEPHEN CLEMENTE decided to starve Shadow to the brink of death, now then how about this monster’s punishment include not only starvation but also isolation. I mean, really, does anyone truly want to be around this POS?! Please get better Shadow.
