- Maryland, USA -
~ UPDATE: December 20, 2021
I heard back from the Calvert County State’s Attorney’s Office.
From an email sent to Voice For Us I learned that the VOICELESS VICTIM was an 18-year-old male Poodle mix named Butters.
I also learned that BLASI is prohibited from owning, possessing, or residing with any animal for a period of 5 years. “ This is a condition of her probation, and maximum amount of time an individual can be on probation in Maryland (generally speaking) is 5 years”, said the Calvert County State’s Attorney’s Office.
If BLASI violates her probation by owning, possessing, or residing with an animal, she will face up to 18 months of incarceration.
~ Original story:
Robert H. Harvey, Calvert County State’s Attorney, announced that 44-years-old TAMMY MARIE BLASI (pictured below), of Lusby, entered a guilty plea to felony animal cruelty.
BLASI was sentenced by the Court to an 18 month suspended period of incarceration.
As part of her sentence, BLASI is prohibited from owning, possessing, or residing with any animal.
As stated in a news release, in 2020, Calvert County Animal Control went to a home in Lusby after receiving a report about an animal in distress. In the backyard of the residence officers found a children’s playhouse and inside was a white Terrier dog.
Officers examined the furbaby who was “unable to move, covered in debris, and crying out in obvious pain”, stated the release.
Officers learned from BLASI that the dog had been put outside because he/she had been making a mess in the home.
The furbaby was removed from the home and taken to Solomon’s Veterinary Medical Center where severe wounds were discovered as well as sores under the dog’s hair which were infested with maggots.
It was determined that the wounds had developed after months of neglect.
Sadly, the furbaby was humanely euthanized given his/her poor condition.
According to a news release, this represents the first felony conviction obtained in Calvert County due to extreme neglect of an animal. Too bad BLASI will not be rotting behind bars.
I have contacted the Calvert County State’s Attorney’s Office to request additional information about the VOICELESS VICTIM and inquire about the period of time during which BLASI is prohibited from owning, possessing, or residing with any animal.
If I get a response, I will post an update.

Beautiful soul…RIP now little one. As for the hideous monster who has no soul, tammi blasi, you are already rotting from the inside out, & when you think it is over, you will find yourself in Hell with all the other soulless monsters. You will discover that not one of you there gives a damn about the other, as all of you will be ‘crying out in pain’ for eternity. Sleep well here on earth, for it will be the last sleep you’ll ever experience.
