On Tuesday, March 23, College Station Police arrested 22-year-old TAYLOR JACE VISCONTI (pictured below), after a decomposed rabbit was discovered in her apartment.
KXXV reports that on January 22, an animal control officer responded to the female’s apartment in the 100 block of Winter Park and found a decomposed black rabbit.
VISCONTI told authorities she had not been to her apartment since January 4, and that someone was supposed to check on her rabbit named Binx.
VISCONTI, however, could not give the name of that “someone.”
As reported by KXXV, according to the probable cause statement, VISCONTI said “she knew she messed up” and was worried “people would think she was a bad bunny mommy.”
VISCONTI was charged with cruelty to non-livestock animals.
She is being held in the Brazos County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
