On Monday, November 20, 2023, in Warren County Court, 21-years-old TAYLOR NICOLE LOFTIN (pictured), was indicted on several animal cruelty charges.

According to the police report obtained by Voice For Us, on September 26, 2023, a Franklin police officer along with two Warren County dog wardens responded to an apartment on North River Street after dog wardens received information about cruelty to animals taking place at the apartment.

LOFTIN allowed officers to enter the unit on the second story and sadly, they immediately saw a deceased dog. The dog was lying on the kitchen floor.

Officers also found a dog who was howling from a crate and two Pitbulls. All of them were surrounded by filth. The Pitbulls were injured and so skinny that their ribs were showing.

The floor of the apartment was covered in feces and the odor of urine was strong. Captain Brian Pacifico, with the Franklin Police Department, told WLWT5: “Clearly, the animals didn't go outside. They used their apartment as their place to go to the bathroom, and to live. There was no place for them to run. And no food.”

Additionally, officers found four cats hiding under a bed, and a turtle.

The poor turtle was living in an aquarium filled with such filthy water that one of the officers described it as “sewage water.” The water was so dark that officers needed a flashlight to locate the turtle.

The surviving Voiceless Victims were placed in the care of the Warren County Humane Association.

LOFTIN was arrested on October 2, 2023, and charged with one felony count of animal cruelty and six misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty.

She was released from the Warren County Jail and according to court records, she will be arraigned on December 8, 2023, at 8:30 a.m.

I’m the woman that was able to rescue and rehome 11 other animals that were in the home before the warden came. The brown pitbull and the black pitbull were 2 dogs that came from my oldest dogs very first litter. The deceased one on the floor wasn’t from my litter, but was named Ozzy and I watched him grow up. He was alive when we finished the last walk through of the house. Must have passed away that night because the warden picked up the rest of the animals that we couldn’t get out the very next day. This girl used to be my bestfriend until I found out what she was doing to these animals and my heart…

I will never comprehend how humans can be so flippant concerning the care of any animal! If one does not intend to provide care (which includes food, water, shelter, as well as a clean place to lie one’s head) then by all that is good, do not collect animals! That poor soul that was dead in the kitchen appeared bitten. And the other‘s face appears to have bite marks! These precious souls deserve better. I truly hope this skank TAYLOR NICOLE LOFTIN receives a harsh punishment, albeit it‘s a pity & a shame she won’t be introduced to the exact treatment all these innocent souls endured. RIP PRECIOUS SOUL.
