The senseless torture inflicted on a defenseless puppy was caught by a Ring Doorbell camera and resulted in the arrest of 21-year-old TERRELL TOMER JR. (pictured below).
The victim is a voiceless 11-month-old French Bulldog mix who could not dial 911 to ask for help or to report the abuse she suffered.
The victim is a breathing being who could not fight back and as result of the abuse, several of her bones were broken.
While Click On Detroit reports that the resident sent the footage from their Doorbell camera to the Utica Police Department, FOX 32 reports that the video was sent to the police by the Macomb County Animal Control.
Either way, the video is hard to watch.
It shows TOMER JR. forcefully hurling the furbaby several times at least 15 to 20 feet.
The poor puppy can be seen after landing getting up and running away.
TOMER JR. storms after her, picks her up, carries her and throws her again.
According to FOX 17, Utica Police Detective Greg Morabito was determined to locate the male and the dog, pounding the pavement in the neighborhood in the area of Van Dyke and M-59, trying to figure out where the man lived and then what vehicle he drove.
Click On Detroit reports that the detective spent a day talking to residents to get an idea of who the suspect could be and waited six hours for the suspect to return home until he was finally approached.
Utica PD Chief Sean Coady said: “He was emotional when he was confronted about it. We hope this is the end of this activity.”
The furbaby was in TOMER JR.’s home.
She had multiple jaw fractures, spine damage, pelvic fractures, rib fractures, and a broken leg.
Thankfully, the furbaby now named Nugget, is expected to make a full recovery.
She has a new home and a new family now who is giving her all the love and care she needs and deserves.
TOMER JR. was charged with animal abuse, a felony that in Michigan carries a 10-year-prison sentence.
Chief Coady said that TOMER JR. has been arraigned and bond has been set at $25,000.
A petition has been created asking that TOMER JR. gets “THE MAXIMUM PENALTY.”
