Thibodaux Police have arrested 35-year-old TOMEKA ADAMS (pictured below), after a deceased Pit bull was discovered in the yard of her property on Sanders Street in Thibodaux.
Lt. Clint Dempster said: “She claimed she had been taking care of the dog by giving it food and water but the dog was found deceased.”
Lt. Dempster added: “She wasn’t taking care of it like she should have been.”
The female was arrested and booked into the Lafourche Parish jail.
She was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals.
ADAMS walked after posting a $10,000 bond.
