There is an update on ASHLEY GASTON’s case.
On Thursday, December 5, ASHLEY GASTON (pictured below), pleaded guilty to felony charges of aggravated cruelty to an animal and two related misdemeanors in connection with the beating of her Pit bull named Trigger.
She was filmed by a neighbor who then posted the video online.
On June 7, Lancaster Bureau of Police Dog Law Enforcement was called to the woman’s home in the 500 block of Beaver Street after a neighbor saw her kicking her dog and stomping on him on her front porch.
What was even more disturbing was that the woman went inside the house to get her minor son and encouraged him to kick the poor dog.
She justified this vile behavior by saying that Trigger had bitten her son but police did not find bite marks on the child.
Trigger was taken to Lancaster Pet Emergency Treatment and Specialties (PETS) where an initial examination showed bruised lungs.
As far as the recent sentence is concerned, the offender will be under court supervision for nearly five years and will surrender ownership of Trigger as per the court order.
She was also sentenced to three months in prison, followed by 20 months of parole then three years of probation.
GASTON must also pay $3,009 in restitution regarding care for Trigger.
I want to thank once more the person who recorded this criminal abusing her dog and for alerting the authorities!
