The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is reaching out to the public in hopes of finding the evil, heartless, and soulless individual who abandoned a dog who was severely neglected.
In a news release the sheriff’s office said that on the morning of Wednesday, June 8, a volunteer at the Tri-County Animal Rescue in Boca Raton, found a female Shih Tzu “along the fence line, on the north side of the Tri-County Animal Rescue property.”
The furbaby, approximately 6 years old now named Parker by veterinarians, “could barely stand, let alone walk”, said the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office explained that the facility is gated and locked at night, so, it appears that someone threw Parker over the fence. The furbaby is not microchipped and had no collar.
The veterinary staff stated Parker has been neglected for a long period of time and required immediate surgery due to her condition.
Local 10 reports: “Veterinarians say it took them three hours to remove that hair only to find she had severe injuries all over her body.”
Parker was also covered with maggots.
The Tri-County veterinary team performed surgery and thankfully saved her precious life.
“She is still in guarded condition and is recovering at the facility”, said the sheriff’s office.
As the sheriff’s office asked: “Who could neglect an innocent dog?”
Whoever inflicted this senseless suffering on Parker does not deserve to walk free and to be spared from the legal repercussions.
