The El Paso Police Department announced the arrest of 20-year-old ANTHONY JAMES SEPULVEDA (pictured).
SEPULVEDA was first investigated back on June 12, 2024, when officers with the El Paso Police Department’s Animal Cruelty Investigation Unit responded to the 1600 block of Lee Trevino in East El Paso. A witness reported seeing him strike his dog, named Apollo, several times with a metal rod. The witness told officers that Apollo yelped and cried in pain.
Officers then learned that in a separate incident, SEPULVEDA hit Apollo with a belt.
SEPULVEDA was taken into custody on September 25, 2024, and booked into the El Paso County Jail on charge of cruelty to non-livestock animals (kill, poison, serious bodily injury).
Bond was set at $10,000 which the scum was able to post.
Police said Apollo has been rehomed.
