- Florida, USA -
The Largo Police Department arrested 42-years-old EFREN LOPEZ PEREZ (pictured), accused of intentionally running over an innocent duck who sadly died on impact.
PEREZ was driving his truck at the Whispering Pines Mobile Home Park on 142nd Avenue North and according to witnesses, he sped up just before approaching the duck.
Witnesses told the police PEREZ did not stop and drove off.
Police arrested PEREZ on Friday, September 9, and after he was read his rights, he admitted to striking the bird.
Blood was found where the duck was laying lifelessly.
The filthy murderer was charged with one count of cruelty to animals, a third-degree felony, and booked into the Pinellas County Jail. Online records show he was released a few hours later after posting a $5,000 bond.
Online court records do not have a date for PEREZ’s next appearance.
