~ Update: September 24, 2022
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said that on August 30, 2022, 29-years-old NATHANIEL ENNELS II (pictured), appeared in Wicomico County Circuit Court where judge Matthew A. Maciarello sentenced him in the beating death of an innocent dog in October 2021.
ENNELS, a filthy murderer, pleaded guilty to one count of felony animal cruelty and was sentenced to three years of incarceration with all but time served suspended.
ENNELS served 58 days behind bars and 268 days of house arrest totaling 326 days’ time served. ENNELS was placed on three years of supervised probation.
According to a press release by the Wicomico County States’ Attorney obtained by Voice For Us, Maciarello also signed an order that ENNELS be prevented from owning, possessing, or residing with animals for a period of 10 years, a first in the state of Maryland. It should have been a lifetime ban!
In early October 2021, ENNELS murdered a 5-year-old female miniature Schnauzer named Spanky for peeing on the floor. Deputies with the Wicomico County found a video showing ENNELS savagely punching and kicking Spanky.
Animal Control took Spanky’s lifeless body to the Humane Society of Wicomico County and a necropsy was performed. Results showed the cause of death was determined to be internal hemorrhaging of the liver and kidneys caused by blunt force trauma.
NATHANIEL ENNELS II, I have checked your court records and they show you have spent most of your life in court rooms to face a variety of charges.
Individuals like you are society’s vomit, and do not need to exist!
The life of trash like you does not matter and that’s what gives me the strength and determination to fight for animals, so that I can expose excrements like you!
~ Original story:
On Saturday, October 9, Wicomico County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of West Road in Salisbury after receiving a report about an individual beating a dog to death at the home.
Deputies learned during the course of the investigation that 28-years-old NATHANIEL ENNELS II (pictured below), became enraged after a 5-year-old miniature Schnauzer named Spanky, had urinated on the floor.
ENNELS struck the furbaby “with his hand hard enough to make the dog screech,” said the sheriff’s office in a news release.
The release also stated that ENNELS was seen kicking Spanky multiple times while yelling at him to get into a cage.
When Spanky did not go into the cage, ENNELS was also seen roughly jabbing the furbaby with a broom handle at least 15 times while he continued to yell at the pooch to get into the cage.
The sheriff’s office said that Spanky was heard whining and screeching as loud as he possibly could while ENNELS continued to yell at him and making threats toward the defenseless creature.
According to the sheriff’s office, when the deputies arrived at the home, ENNELS refused to answer the door so another family member had to respond.
ENNELS then refused to cooperate with the investigation so the family member went to get Spanky and brought him to the deputies.
They also learned that before their arrival, ENNELS tried to clean up the area where the incident took place.
Spanky’s killer was placed under arrest, transported to the Central Booking Unit to be processed, and was then taken in front of the District Court Commissioner.
The sheriff’s office said that following an initial appearance, ENNELS was detained in the Detention Center without bond.
ENNELS was charged with:
Aggravated Animal Cruelty
Animal Cruelty
Animal Cruelty – Cause Suffering or Pain
Animal Cruelty – Failure to Provide Veterinary Care
Obstruct and Hinder
Alter Physical Evidence
