The Morgan County Sheriff's Department is reaching out to the public for assistance with a horrific case of animal cruelty.

Six puppies were thrown off of a bridge and left in a river on Burreville Road in Sunbright after being stuffed in a red tote bag.

The nonprofit MoCo Mutts Rescue Center said only one puppy survived and the furbaby has been named Survivor. Survivor has a broken leg and more details will be disclosed after a veterinary examination.

In a Facebook post the shelter said that the puppies “Appear to probably be a cur type mix, approximately 7 to 9 weeks old, maybe slightly older.”

MoCo Mutts Rescue Center is offering a reward, which now climbed to $2,250, in exchange for information leading to the identification and conviction of the monster responsible for such a heinous crime. As the nonprofit said: “This should make you angry and ill to your stomach.”

There is a discrepancy with the dates according to which the furbabies were tossed from the bridge. The probable timeframe is between December 24 and December 25.

If you were in the area on those days and you witnessed something unusual or suspicious that can help with the investigation, please, come forward and speak up for those innocent puppies.

They rely on us for justice!

As MoCo Mutts Rescue Center said: “Don't let this crime go unpunished.”

An innocent dog was recently SENSELESSLY and CRUELLY MURDERED and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is reaching out to the public to identify the male responsible for this sadistic crime!

On Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at approximately 9:30 a.m., a Doorbell video captured “an unknown Hispanic or White male” parking in the 3000 block of Duffy Street in Muscoy.

The footage shows the male exiting the driver's door, walking to the passenger side of his vehicle, and letting a dog out of the truck. The video goes on to show the suspect getting back into the vehicle leaving the dog out while the furbaby’s tail is wagging unaware of what is about to happen to him/her.

Once the male is back in the truck, he INTENTIONALLY runs over the dog, killing the defenseless furbaby. The coward then fled the scene!

According to a news release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, the San Bernardino County Animal Care Department was dispatched to the location and recovered the deceased dog.

As part of the investigation, Sheriff's Department investigators obtained video surveillance of the incident and screenshots of the suspect and the vehicle which has been described to possibly be a Nissan Titan.

PLEASE, do not make the mistake of thinking that this individual is just another animal abuser. Do not underestimate what happened here. If the suspect did not want the dog, the humane thing to do would have been to surrender the furbaby to a shelter. The fact that he resorted to murder, strongly indicates that his innate nature will make him move on to humans next. He must be found as soon as possible.

If you have any information about this case, I beg you, come forward and speak up for the VOICELESS VICTIM.

Call Detective Wendi Beaton, Central Station at (909) - 387 - 3545. Callers wishing to remain anonymous should contact the We-Tip Hotline 1-800-78-CRIME (27463) or go to www.wetip.com. Thank you!

A precious dog is alive thanks to Corporal Timothy Rogers with the Susquehanna Township Police Department.

The furbaby, now named Rocky, was found by Corporal Rogers on the very early morning of Saturday, October 22, 2022, while on patrol around North Front Street near Miller Lane.

Rocky was severely injured and Corporal Rogers immediately took him to a local vet.

Our hero and his wife decided to pay for the furbaby’s medical care out of their pockets since no guardian came forward. The initial amount needed for Rocky’s care was estimated to be $2,000 and Corporal Rogers organized a GoFundMe humbling requesting half of it but the generosity shown is truly overwhelming and at the time of writing, the amount collected so far is more than $8,000.

As explained in the GoFundMe, “After an examination the doctor determined that he had been shot on the right side of his face. The bullet then traveled through his ear canal region and exited under his chin. Besides the broken bones near his ear, he had lost so much blood that he was close to death.” Corporal Rogers said that the vet advised that Rocky needed “immediate blood transfusions just to stay alive long enough for his other injuries to heal.”

In an update posted on October 24,2022, Corporal Rogers said: “Hello, all! After careful consideration of all factors, I believe I've come a to a solution of what to do with part of your donations. We will take a portion of the fund and use it as a reward for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator of this crime. That way, we address both issues - getting Rocky back on his feet and also bringing him justice.”

Corporal Rogers emphasized that police are investigating the shooting and there will soon be a post on Crimewatch asking for info and offering a reward. He also thanked all those who helped with the donations. Corporal Rogers does not take credit for saving Rocky and said: “all I did was get the dog to the hospital and then put out a call for help.” Many of us know all too well that just because that behavior is to be expected from a law officer, it’s not always the case!

If you recognize the furbaby or have information about his guardian, please, call Corporal Lee Ann Tarasi at (717) - 909 - 9259. Thank you!
