30-years-old QUINTEZ EDWIN WILLIAMS (pictured) is being held at the Davidson County Downtown Detention Center on a $60,000 bond after being booked on multiple charges, including, animal cruelty charges.
WILLIAMS is accused of breeding Pitbulls and keeping them in deplorable conditions.
According to the Davidson County District Attorney's Office, some of the dogs discovered at WILLIAMS’ home were covered in feces.
The DA’s office said despite WILLIAMS having prior citations against him, he continued to abuse the dogs.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department arrested WILLIAMS on June 8, on five counts of aggravated cruelty to animals, two counts of animal cruelty, two counts of failure to abide, and one count of filing a false report.
According to the indictment, in 2021, from May 19, through May 23, WILLIAMS “reportedly failed to provide necessary food, water, care or shelter for the animals in his custody.”
WILLIAMS also failed to surrender custody and forfeit the animals to authorities resulting in a violation of a restriction General Sessions Court placed on him.
Official documents obtained by Voice For Us state that in 2022, from February 10, through February 18, WILLIAMS “also failed to provide food or water to the animals, resulting in a substantial risk of death.”
Furthermore, he “reportedly made a false report to Metro Animal Control with the intent to ‘obstruct or hinder Metro Animal Control from preventing the offense or incident from occurring or continuing to occur’.”
Online court records show that WILLIAMS is scheduled to appear before Judge Jennifer Smith on June 22, 2022, at 09:00.a.m. for his arraignment.
