The Madison County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old HERSHEL WILLIAM CLINT CANADY (pictured via Georgia Crime Magazine).

Arrest and court records show that CANADY is facing eleven (11) misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals and one felony count of theft by deception.

Athens Banner-Herald reports that CANADY “operates a farm off S&H Road north of Comer, where he sells horses, ponies and donkeys.”

According to the news outlet, investigator Chris Guest with the MCSO said that CANADY was not physically abusing the animals but he was neglecting them by depriving them of medical care. Mr. Guest said: “There are 11 (animals) that we can definitely make cases on where he refused to get them medical care.”

Mr. Guest explained that the felony deception charge refers to the sale of several donkeys to a woman in Arizona. According to Mr. Guest, the woman bought more than a dozen donkeys from CANADY with the understanding “they had a clean bill of health and everything was fine.” Sadly, at least five of the donkeys purchased died. The remaining donkeys were then tested by a veterinarian and when reports showed that they were suffering from a variety of diseases, they were placed in quarantine.

According to Mr. Guest, “Animal control has warned him; trying to get this taken care of without any actions being taken. But he pretty much ignored them.”

Athens Banner-Herald reached out to CANADY for a comment and he declined. Despite the findings of the investigation conducted by the sheriff’s office and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, CANADY denies the charges. His attorney, Mayes Davison, told the news agency that his client is shocked “because he’s complied with every aspect that we know of in the requirements to take care of his animals.”

I have reached out to the USDA to inquire about the four open complaints the agency has against CANADY’s farm. If I get a response, I will post an update.

CANADY was arrested on June 13, 2024, and released the following day.

- Florida, USA -

Bill Gladson, Florida Fifth Judicial Circuit State Attorney, announced that on November 7, 2023, inside the courtroom of the Honorable Judge Peter Brigham, jurors found 62-years-old TERRENCE ANDRE CROWDER (pictured), guilty of one felony and two misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty.

The verdict was the result of “a thorough presentation of compelling evidence and expert subject matter testimony”, stated a press release by the State’s Attorney’s Office.

In July 2022, Marion County Animal Control Compliance Investigators responded to CROWDER’s property after receiving reports of animal negligence. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office was also called in for assistance.

From CROWDER’s property, officials removed thirteen (13) animals. Among them were a goat, a mare, and a miniature pony who were found in “appalling and negligent conditions”, stated the release.

The State’s Attorney’s Office identified the miniature pony as Shakira and the mare as Haling’s Darling.

According to the release, Shakira “hadelf shoe’ hooves from lack of care, which is extremely painful. All four hooves were also found to be infected with thrush.”

Haling’s Darling was extremely emaciated to the point that her ribs were showing.

As for the goat, he/she had an open, chronic wound on his/her back “that had been left untreated for quite some time – the wound was not only very tender to the touch but had calloused over.”

CROWDER, of Ocala, was subsequently arrested on August 20, 2022, and released on August 26, 2022, after posting bond.

State Attorney Gladson said in a statement: “𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙮 𝙙𝙚𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙤𝙛 𝙗𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 – 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚. Online arrest records show that CROWDER is in custody awaiting sentencing.

His sentencing hearing will be scheduled at a later time.

It’s not good enough for me that this despicable individual was found guilty. I have never made it a secret that I believe that animal abusers should be hung from a tree and left hanging until the expiration of their useless and pathetic life!

I would love to see CROWDER’s cell covered in the same shit that those Voiceless Victims were living in. Furthermore, I would love to see him drinking the same filthy water from the same broken, rusty, bathtub shown in one of the pictures!

On Friday, August 25, 2023, after a three-day trial at Lincoln Crown Court, 39-years-old SARAH MOULDS (pictured) was acquitted of animal cruelty in relation to an incident that happened on November 6, 2021, at the hunt meet of the infamous Cottesmore Hunt near The Drift, Gunby, in Lincolnshire.

Members of Hertfordshire Hunt Saboteurs witnessed MOULDS kicking and repeatedly punching in the head a defenseless 11-year-old horse named Bruce Almighty. The vile actions were filmed by the organization and the video went viral.

At the time of the incident, MOULDS was a teacher at the Mowbray Educational Trust, but she was fired in December 2021, after the sickening video was watched globally.

In January 2022, MOULDS was charged with causing unnecessary suffering to Bruce Almighty and failing to take reasonable steps to protect him from pain, suffering or injury.

The RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) prosecuted the case.

The Court heard that Bruce Almighty was being ridden by a child the day of the incident. As the horses were being untacked, Bruce Almighty unexpectedly “took off” and moved about twenty-five meters down the road. Instructing the child to let go of the horse’s rope, MOULDS said “she believed there were anumber of horrific thingsthat might have happened had the child attempted to hold on”, reports Sky News. Eventually Bruce Almighty stopped to graze on a grass verge and then returned to the horse box. At that point MOULDS kicks the defenseless horse in the chest and then proceeds to repeatedly punch him in the head. The video of her despicable behavior filmed by Hertfordshire Hunt Saboteurs was played to the jury.

According to Sky News, MOULDS said she intended to “briefly shock” Bruce Almighty and denied losing her temper. ”My intention was then, and always was, to discipline Bruce in the moment so that he does not do it again”, said MOULDS.

Hunt Saboteurs Association reports that an expert advising the prosecution said Bruce Almighty would have suffered “fear and distress” during the assault.

The organization further reports that Suzanne Green, an award winning equine veterinary surgeon, told the court that the actions against Bruce Almighty “was not proportional or appropriate” and explained: “As Sarah Moulds gets hold of the lead rope, at that point his head continues to go up, it is pulling back, his eyes are shut, it’s ears are to the side. It has tension in its face.”

Dr. Green was then asked to comment on the video and said: “The skin on the horse is especially thin, and there are two main nerves that run down the face which are responsible for nearly all of the sensations. You can see on the horse’s face when she hits that horse, it is being caused fear”. Dr. Green rightfully pointed out that Bruce Almighty can be seen in the video not fighting back and not hurting MOULDS. She then told the jurors: “the overall conclusion I have reached was that Bruce was caused unnecessary suffering by the actions of Sarah Moulds in that video”, and that “you only kicked a horse like that to deliver pain because it will hurt it”.

Despite the overall overwhelming evidence, a jury of eleven men and one woman found MOULDS not guilty after just over five hours of deliberation. If found guilty, MOULDS could have faced jail.

It makes you wonder who the heck were the jurors?!

Outside court, MOULDS slammed the RSPCA for prosecuting her and accused the nonprofit of being “pressured” by online “bullies”.
